Statement as of 7:56 PM MST on December 01, 2009 ... Much colder temperatures will be over the area through Thursday... Very cold air will be over the area through Thursday. High temperatures Wednesday and Thursday will be between 15 and 25. Brisk northerly winds will produce wind chill values in the single digits. Light snow will also continue for the rest of tonight with total snowfall by sunrise of 4 to 6 inches. The snow will taper off late tonight and end around sunrise. People... especially children and the elderly... should be adequately protected from the cold temperatures and cold wind chills. Make sure to wear warm hats and gloves to protect your head and hands from the cold temperatures. Wear layered clothing... Coats and jackets to keep warm when outside. Animals and pets need to be protected from the drastic change to colder temperatures. Make sure animals and pets have adequate shelter from the cold weather. Roads will be slick and travel hazardous the rest of tonight and Wednesday morning. Weiland 230 PM MST Tue Dec 1 2009 ... Snow and much colder temperatures are in store for the area... Very cold air will pour into the area tonight and Wednesday. Snow will also develop this evening and will continue over night. Snow accumulations will be from 4 to 6 inches by morning.
