Flood Warning
Issued: 2:30 AM CST Feb. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Coosa River at Weiss Dam.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1:00 am Saturday the stage was 568.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 567.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 570.0 feet by
early Monday morning then begin falling.
* Impact... at 572.0 feet... flooding of some permanent residences
around the lake begins.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Coosa River at Childersburg.
* Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1:45 am Saturday the stage was 403.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 402.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to slowly fall, but will remain
above flood stage through Wednesday morning, before falling below
flood stage by early Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 402.0 feet... flooding of low lying areas begins. At 404
feet flooding of some low lying roads in the area begins... and the
yards of some homes near the river become flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Coosa River at Logan Martin dam.
* Until Wednesday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1:00 am Saturday the stage was 468.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 467.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 469.8 feet by
tomorrow evening . The river will fall below flood stage early
Wednesday morning.
