Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 3:21 AM CST Feb. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch now in effect until 6 am CST early this morning...

The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of central Arkansas, north central Arkansas, and
western Arkansas, including the following areas, in central
Arkansas, Conway, Pope, and Yell. In north central Arkansas,
Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy, sharp,
stone, and Van Buren. In western Arkansas, Johnson, Logan, and
Scott.

* Until 6 am CST early this morning

* areas of rain will continue today, but will become light across
much of northern and western Arkansas. Therefore, the Flood
Watch will be allowed to expire this morning. Another Flood
Watch may be needed Thursday night and Friday morning as rain
intensities picks up again.

.Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for high water problems
early this morning. You should monitor later forecasts for the
possibility of additional flood watches Thursday night into Friday
morning.
