Flood Warning
Issued: 9:18 PM EST Dec. 14, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Satilla river at Atkinson.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:45 PM Friday the stage was 15.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 15.0 feet
by Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... River Rock Road begins to experience
flooding across the Road.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... Warner Landing, Louis Landing and secondary
roads around KOA campgrounds begin to flood.

Flagler County in northeastern Florida...
St. Johns County in northeastern Florida...
Baker County in northeastern Florida...
Union County in northern Florida...
Clay County in northeastern Florida...
Pierce County in southeastern Georgia...
Brantley County in southeastern Georgia...

* At 1027 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges continues
to depict periodic bursts of heavy downpours across much of
northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. Doppler radar estimates
and gauges indicate that a widespread 1 to 3 inches of rainfall
have occurred since this morning.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gainesville, Palm Coast, Waycross, Saint Augustine, Jesup, Green
Cove Springs, Starke, Blackshear, Bunnell and Folkston.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
