... Wind Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 9 PM CST
Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 PM CST
Sunday. The high wind watch is no longer in effect.

* Winds... northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
Localized gusts near 60 mph possible around daybreak on Sunday,
mainly near and north of the Interstate 80 corridor.

* Timing... Saturday night through Sunday evening.

* Impacts... travel will be difficult, especially on north-south
roads. Lightweight outdoor items will be blown around and tree
damage and power outages will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph or greater are
expected, which can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution if you are traveling.

... Ponding water and reduced visibilities in heavy rain...

An area of moderate to locally heavy rain will lift across the
area over the next few hours. Much of this rain will go into
runoff, resulting in ponding water in low lying or poorly drained
areas. In addition, visibility will be reduced to around a mile
or less in the heavy rain. If traveling early this morning, be
prepared for periods of reduced visibility and ponding water on
roadways.
