Flood Warning

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Spencer.
* Until further notice.
* At 2:30 PM Saturday the stage was 16.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 20.3 feet by
Tuesday evening then begin falling.
* At 20.0 feet... Hyden Road, fifth Avenue, and west side of Cooper
street in southern Spencer begin to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River below Eagle Valley Power Plant.
* Until Thursday evening.
* Flood stage is 603.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 605.9
feet Monday evening.
* At 607.0 feet... extensive flooding of agricultural lands. Blue
Bluff and Paragon roads are impassable. Flood waters affect a few
homes in Waverly.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River near Centerton.
* Until Thursday afternoon.
* At 3:00 PM Saturday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 14.8 feet by
Monday evening. The river will fall below flood stage early
Thursday morning.
* At 15.3 feet... extensive flooding of agricultural lands. Blue Bluff
and Paragon roads are impassable. Flood waters affect a few homes
in Waverly.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, south
central Indiana, southeast Indiana, southwest Indiana, and
west central Indiana, including the following areas, in
central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone, Clinton, Decatur,
Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard, Johnson, Madison,
Marion, Morgan, rush, Shelby, and Tipton. In east central
Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph. In south central
Indiana, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast
Indiana, Jennings. In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene,
Knox, Martin, and Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay,
Fountain, Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Vermillion, and
Vigo.

* Through Sunday morning

* additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected through
Sunday morning, in areas that have already received
significant rainfall over the past few days. This will likely
worsen flooding on area waterways and lead to flooding of
other streams, low lying areas, and poor drainage areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
