the Flood Warning has been extended for
the Saint Marys River near Decatur
* until Sunday evening.
* At 6 am Thursday the stage was 17.6 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will fall below the 17.0 foot flood stage
around 7 PM Saturday February 24.
* At 17.5 feet... County Road 225 north of Pleasant Mills is flooded.
Agricultural land flooding increases in northern... central and
eastern Adams County.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.0 feet which occurred
on Jan 21 2017.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Little River above Huntington
* until Friday evening.
* At 6 am Thursday the stage was 14.4 feet and falling.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage Thursday morning
and crest near 15.8 feet around 1 PM Thursday February 22 and fall
below flood stage around 6 PM Thursday February 22.
* At 16.0 feet... moderate flooding is in progress. Secondary roads
are blocked by flood waters. People in these areas should move
property to higher ground and those nearest the river may have to
evacuate their homes.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.7 feet which occurred
on Jul 9 2003.

* Forecast... the river will rise to a crest near 20.2 feet around 7
PM Thursday February 22 and fall below flood stage around 10 PM
Monday February 26.
* At 20.0 feet... some evacuations may be necessary in low,
unprotected areas of River Haven.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.0 feet which occurred
on Jun 18 2015.

* until Tuesday afternoon.
* At 6 am Thursday the stage was 14.1 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to a crest near 14.7 feet around 7
am Saturday February 24 and fall below flood stage around 5 PM
Monday February 26.
* At 15.0 feet... flooding of lowland and farmland near the river
increases.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.5 feet which occurred
on may 27 2011.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* Forecast... the river will rise to a crest near 17.1 feet around 1
PM Saturday February 24 and begin falling.
* At 17.0 feet... residential flooding occurs in Leo, Indiana.

... Brief period of wintry mixed precipitation early this morning...

Temperatures were hovering right around freezing early this
morning. A wintry mix of light sleet, freezing rain and snow is
possible for a few hours this morning. This may cause a light
glaze of ice to form where temperatures drop below freezing.
Bridges, elevated surfaces and less traveled roads may develop icy
spots as well. Use caution this morning, slow down, and allow
extra time to reach your destination as a precaution.
