* period of concern... this afternoon.

* Temperatures... 60s to mid 70s.

* Relative humidity... 10 to 20 percent.

* Winds... southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Impacts... any fires that start will exhibit extreme behavior and
rapidly spread out of control.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged today. Consider canceling
or postponing outdoor burning plans.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are imminent. Strong southwest winds, low relative humidity
values, and above normal temperatures will create an environment
in which extreme fire behavior can be expected.
