The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* the Kentucky counties of Bath, Elliott, Estill, Fleming,
Menifee, Montgomery, Powell, Rowan, Johnson, Martin, Laurel,
McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne, Whitley, Bell, Breathitt,
Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie,
Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike, and Wolfe.

* It is in effect until early Sunday morning.

* Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected today, and thunderstorms
with locally heavy rainfall are possible late today and tonight.

* With the ground already saturated, excessive rainfall could lead
to flooding or flash flooding. River flooding will also become
a larger concern. In addition, rock and mudslides can be
anticipated.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
