morning to 7 PM EST this evening...
* what... snow and sleet changing to light freezing rain. Snow
begins rapidly by 7 am across the area with a burst of heavier
snow likely during the peak morning travel period. Total snow
accumulation in the 1 to 2 inch range is expected before
transitioning to sleet, freezing rain, and freezing drizzle
between 10 am - noon. Freezing drizzle or light freezing rain
continues during the afternoon. Total ice accretion is forecast
to be a tenth of an inch or less. Temperatures are expected to
rise above freezing between 2-4 PM, with mainly rain showers
after 4 PM.
* Where... Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe counties.
* When... from 7 am to 7 PM EST Wednesday.
* Additional details... snow will produce limited visibility and
create hazardous Road conditions this morning. Untreated roads
will likely remain slippery this afternoon, with dirt/gravel
roads even remaining icy after temperatures rise slightly above
freezing late today.
