... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 100 PM EST Thursday for
Calhoun... Allegan... Van Buren... Jackson... Kent... Ottawa... Ingham...
Ionia... Barry... Clinton... Kalamazoo and Eaton counties...

Flooding along rivers and low lying areas will continue overnight.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Portage, Jackson, Holland, Ionia,
Grand Haven, Charlotte, Albion, Mason, St. Johns, Hastings, Marshall,
Belding, Eaton Rapids, Allegan, South Haven, Portland and Plainwell.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Portage River near Vicksburg.
* Until Monday afternoon.
* At 7:30 am Wednesday the stage was 5.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, the river will continue rising to near 6.8 feet by after
midnight tonight. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday
early afternoon.
* Impact, at 7.0 feet... expect moderate flooding of several homes
built adjacent to the river. Water covers south 29th street just
south of ew Avenue.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Kalamazoo river at Comstock.
* From Thursday morning to late Monday night.
* At 9:15 PM Wednesday the stage was 8.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
to rise to near 9.9 feet by early Saturday morning. The river will
fall below flood stage by Monday early afternoon.
* Impact, at 10.0 feet... expect moderate flooding of homes along
Portage creek, near gull street and Recreation Park. Industrial
areas in Kalamazoo begin to flood.
* Flood history, this crest compares to a previous crest of 9.8 feet
on Apr 10 2017.
