The Flood Warning continues for
the Saint Joseph River Michigan at Elkhart
* until Saturday evening.
* At 5 am Sunday the stage was 27.4 feet and steady.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will fall below the 24.0 foot flood stage
around 7 PM Friday March 2.
* At 27.0 feet... water begins to affect businesses on East Jackson
street. Flooding affects a few first floor residences in the South
Shore drive area across from the hospital.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Saint Joseph River Michigan at Mottville
* until Friday afternoon.
* At 5 am Sunday the stage was 10.1 feet and steady.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will fall below the 8.0 foot flood stage
around 1 PM Thursday March 1.
* At 10.0 feet... a major flood is in progress. Expect extensive
inundation and damage. Many primary roads and bridges will be
closed and many people evacuated.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Saint Joseph River Michigan at Three Rivers
* until further notice.
* At 6 am Sunday the stage was 11.2 feet and steady.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to 11.3 feet around 7 am
Sunday February 25 with additional rises possible thereafter.
* At 11.8 feet... major flooding of scidmore park and residences in
Three Rivers can be expected.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.4 feet which occurred
on Feb 24 2018.

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST /9 am CST/
this morning...

Hazardous weather...

* the greatest threat for higher winds has passed. However, west
   winds of 25 to 35 mph with a isolated gusts to 45 mph are still
   possible this morning.

* It will remain windy into the afternoon with wind gusts to 30
   mph possible.

Impacts...

* loose items such as garbage cans will be blown around in
   these gusty winds. Secure your belongings. Driving high
   profile vehicles will also become difficult overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or gusts of
45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
