The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
southeastern Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey...
Mercer County in central New Jersey...
southwestern Somerset County in northern New Jersey...
Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* until 215 PM EDT.

* At 1010 am EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that moderate to heavy rain was still falling over portions of the
area. A widespread 2 to 5 inches have already fallen. Additional
rain is expected. Creeks, streams, and rivers like the Neshanic in
Hunterdon County, Stony Brook in Mercer County, Assunpink Creek in
Mercer County, and the Millstone River in Somerset County have
risen and will continue to do so as the rain continues to runoff.
Road closures are likely in Reaville on the Neshanic and also in
Mercerville along the assunpink. In addition, trails can flood in
the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park when the assunpink
runs high.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
New Brunswick, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, South Brunswick,
Sayreville, Ewing, Princeton, Matawan, Jamesburg, Hightstown,
Cranbury, Pennington, Hopewell, Rocky Hill, Washington Crossing,
Skillman, Flagtown, Princeton Meadows, Windsor and Brownville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
