... A Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams remains in
effect until 645 PM CDT Wednesday for northeastern Iowa and west
central Dane counties...

At 902 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flood waters from
Black Earth and Blue Mounds creeks continuing to rise and affect
northern parts of the town of Arena in northeast Iowa County. Flood
waters have crossed Village edge Road and are approaching Helena
Road. Sandbagging has begun on the north end of town.

Flooding will continue to affect the Arena area tonight into
Wednesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please heed Road closures. Do not drive around a barricade.

857 PM CDT Tue Aug 21 2018

... A Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams remains in
effect until 515 PM CDT Wednesday for south central Dane County...

At 852 PM CDT, emergency management officials reported flooding
continuing in the Belleville area. Highway 92 remained closed in
Belleville due to flood waters approaching the Highway on the east
side of town.

Several households have been evacuated in Belleville.
The Belleville fire station has water in its basement and
sandbagging is occurring near the river. Also, the dam at Lake
Belle View is being closely monitored due to very high water in the
lake. The river and lake levels are expected to continue rising
tonight into Tuesday.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
residents near the sugar river and near Lake Belle View in the
Village of Belleville.

Please heed Road closures. Do not drive around barricades.

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 600 am CDT Wednesday for
western Dane County...

At 839 PM CDT, the flood waters on Black Earth creek, especially in
the towns of Black Earth and Mazomanie as well as high water over
western Dane County continues to slowly recede. However many roads
and bridges remain closed due to washouts, especially on Highway 14.
Portions of highways 14, 19, 78 and 69 remain closed. Please heed
Road closures across western Dane County.

Some locations that will continue to experience flooding include...
western Madison, Fitchburg, Middleton, Waunakee, Verona, Oregon,
Mount Horeb, Cross Plains, Belleville, Mazomanie, Shorewood Hills,
Black Earth, Blue Mounds, Paoli, Pine Bluff, Mount Vernon and
Marxville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please heed Road closures across western Dane County. Stay away or
be swept away.
